Public Consultation day on preferred site options 27.02.2016
29th Feb 2016

On Saturday 27 February the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group held a consultation day in the Youth Centre which was very well attended by people from the village, as well as local and district council officers and people from neighbouring villages who are thinking about embarking on their own Plans.

We understand that not everyone was able to attend so for your convenience here are the documents to be consulted about. There are two - first, a Vision and Objectives statement which sets out the overall aims of the Plan with some details of elements we would wish to cover. We would like to know whether you think we have got that right. To see this document, click here.

The second document is the site scoring analysis. This is the synthesis of the huge amount of data we have gradually collected, such as the feedback we got to the big site exhibition we held in July last year and the big Questionnaire to which we had such a fantastic response in September. Another major element is the 24 planning-led questions which the Steering Group considered in respect of all 12 sites under review. As a result of all that, the group produced its view of the sites needed to fulfil the Rother Local Plan requirement of 155 new houses for the parish by 2028 (now reduced to 138 by the granting of full planning permission for the site behind Culverwells off Station Road). We hope that you will wish to comment on our proposals and Stephen Hardy will be happy to receive your views by email to stephenhardy1948@gmail.com. Please get them to him by Monday 7 March. Although you cannot fill it in online, you may find it helpful to have a look at the original feedback form: to do this click here. We have a Steering Group meeting the following day which, as always, the public are invited to attend. Meetings take place at 7.30 in the Youth Centre.
